Obituary of Niva Bell Butler

Mrs. Niva Bell Butler, age 92 of Fyffe, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Highway Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11am-2pm, prior to the service, on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the funeral home. Officiating is Bro. David Brown, Bro. J. Hugh Maddox, and Bro. David Chandler. Niva was born on Nov. 24, 1930 and was raised in the DeKalb County area. She lived most of her life in Lakeview, Alabama. Niva graduated from Geraldine High School in 1948. Two years later, on April 3, 1950, she married Horace Butler and was married until separated by death. Niva was a faithful member and attendee of the Highway Church of God. She spent many years serving the Lord by singing, teaching Sunday School, and ministering to all. Some of her favorite times were singing in the church with her friends Nellie Hartline Gilliland and Vestal Freeman Goodman. Niva has now left this Earth to join the heavenly choir.
