Mr. R.C. Simpson age 77 of Fyffe, Alabama passed away Saturday, November 29, 2008 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11am - Monday, December 1, 2008 from the Kelley's Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Johnson, Rev. Randall Lyles, and Rev. Gary Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow in Kelley's Chapel Cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in charge.
Survivors-(wife) Dorothy Gilbert Simpson,; (sons) Mike and Sarah Simpson of Fyffe, Steve and Lesa Simpson of Fyffe,; (sister) Lila Barksdale of Fyffe,; (brothers) Vondell Simpson of Grove Oak, Bill Simpson of Rainsville; (5 grandchildren) Heather, Amber, Emily, Kristin, and Tiffany Simpson.
Mr. Simpson was a retired educator from the Dekalb County Board of Education, having been a principle, basketball coach, and teacher. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, and was a member and deacon of Kelley's Chapel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his Parents (Josie and Clarence Simpson), and 2 Brothers (Wilford and DeJuan Simpson).
