Mr. Robert R. Greenwood age 82 of Rainsville, Alabama passed away Friday, December 26, 2008 in Huntsville Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2pm-Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Glenwood Cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in charge.
Survivors-(wife) Colleen Hixon Greenwood, (son) Payton & Elizabeth Greenwood, (daughter) Cindy & Roth Yancey, (brother) Roy & Elizabeth Greenwood, (sister) Anna Dean Robertson, (grandchildren) Ross & Dee Greenwood, Clint & Michelle Rice, Lori Greenwood, (great grandchildren) Clancey Rice, Lexi Barkley, Trey Greenwood, & Austin Cole Clark.
Mr. Greenwood was preceded in death by his Parents (J.L. "Mose" & Mary Greenwood), a sister (Fannie Smith), a niece (Judy Hall), and Brother-in -law (Arvin Robertson). He was retired from TVA as an Iron Worker, and was a member of the Fort Payne Masonic Lodge. Mr. Greenwood was a Veteran of World War II. Mr. Greenwood also a member of the 1944 Dekalb County High School County Football Team and the 1946 Jacksonville State University National Chapionship Team.
