Obituary of Wayne Finley Conley

Wayne Finley Conley was born on July 26, 1936, in Guntersville, Alabama, and awoke in his eternal home on Saturday, June 9, 2018. He was a graduate of Etowah High School. He was career militry retiring from the United States  Air Force after 20 plus years of service and was a Vietnam War veteran. He loved spending time with friends and family, hunting, fishing, and watching Snead State basketball and Alabama football.

Mr. Conley was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mary Sue Conley; daughter, Deborah West; granddaughter, Tabitha West Bryant; parents, Terry and Maude Davis Conley; brothers, Paul, Wilburn, Forest, Clarence, and Noel Conley; and sisters, Essie Harper, Lorine Conley and Alice French.

He is survivied by his daughter, Anita Grady; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Chuck and Kelli Conley; grandchildren, Hali Grady, Ashton Conley Barnard, Hannah Conley, and Maggie Dixon; great grandchildren, Blake Hyatt, Coby Bryant, Jayden and Jasmine Cole, and Shyanne Dixon; great great grandchildren, Conner and Bryce Hyatt; a host of nieces and nephews, and special friends Pat and Wayne Honeycutt.

Pallbearers: Grant Parker, Mike Edmondson, Chad Carney, Barry Dykes, Darryl LeGrand, Jeff Helms, Mike Herndon 

Funeral services are set for 2PM Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from the W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel. Burial to follow in the Shiloh Cemetery in Steele, AL.The family will receive friends from 12NOON until 2PM June 13, 2018 at the funeral home. Officiating will be Bro. Greg Walker.
