For a short time in my life, Ann was like a mother, more often as a big sister, as I matured after my Dad’s divorce. During that time, we had many ups & downs. Ann was then a long time PE teacher at Sylvania High School while I was there as a freshman through senior graduation. Ann and our dad started and ran a family grocery store in Henagar until we couldn’t keep it going (for those experiences in work, business, & people I'm very grateful). When we could sneak away, we had many trips to dog track races with my Dad, Uncle Gordon, & Aunt Nora Pruett (those that know us know where ;-). We took care of our beloved momma Beulah until her passing (this is an understatement at best, we could write a book on this chapter alone). We also traveled many miles in that Honey camper (here & there, even to the beach a couple times).
Those “times gone by” had some challenges, but we did OK, and more importantly, we had lots of fun along the way. Our heart/desires have always beat to a different drum, and eventually we traveled our own different highways. While we didn’t get to spend as much time together in Ann’s later years, I've never forgotten those great times with Ann & she will be surely missed.
We now pray for her restful solitude with our loved family members in heaven. With sorrow, we send our deepest condolences, Jim, Beth, Anna, and David Beam.

I was born in the house of Ann's parents, my grandparents, when Ann was just 6 years old. We lived on the same farm until I was 6 years old, so Ann was like my big sister. She has felt like my older sister for my whole life, and I was not ready for her to leave us so soon. Rest In Peace Sister and know that I loved every day of my life since you were 6 years old,

Ann was my Mother’s youngest sister and was so special to me as I was growing up. She has now joined all of our dear loved ones in heaven. I pray that she is resting peacefully and knows how much she is loved.
