Obituary of Tom Ed Parker, Jr.

Mr. Tom Ed Parker, Jr., age 71 of Attalla, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from the First Baptist Church Attalla with burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12pm-2pm on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Attalla. Officiating will be Rev. Earl Mitchell.

Daughters: Kelli (Chuck) Conley, Staci (Mike) Edmondson, Hollie (Michael) Moon

Son: Grant (Laura) Parker

Grandchildren: Ashton Conley (Christian) Barnard, Hannah Conley, Jordan Edmondson, Anna Parker, Owen Parker, Isaiah Moon

Brother: Roy Lee Parker

Pallbearers: Larry Means, Lloyd Matthews, Don Oliver, Jason Nicholson, Bob Lankford, Bob Cross

Honorary Pallbearers: Etowah High School Class of 1965 and the City of Attalla employees

*Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents, Tom & Lorraine Parker*

**Mr. Parker was a long-time resident of Attalla and former member of the Attalla City Board of Education. He was the Assistant to Mayor of Attalla and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company with 35 years of service. He was a member and long-time deacon of First Baptist Church of Attalla, where he served faithfully for many years**
