Mr. Kenneth Duel Akins age 74, of Ft. Payne passed away on May 20, 2019. Funeral services are set for 2pm Thursday, May 23, 2019 from the Ft. Payne Christian Center with Pastor Elaine Hollmer officiating. Burial will be in Walker’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8pm Wednesday at the funeral home, and from 1 until service time Thursday at the Church.

 

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Akins; step-daughter, Donna (Steve) Smith; step-son, Lewis Dewayne Brock; sisters, Brenda (Charles) Lunsford, Barbara (Jerry) Henderson, Velma (Larry) Buckles, and Vera Burt; brother, Vernon Akins; granddaughter, Ollie; step-grandchildren, Nicole Smith, Eric Smith, Shyann Brock, and Isaac Brock; step-great-grandchildren, Sarah Smith and Kayden Smith.

 

He was preceded in death by his sons, Bryan Akins and Richard Akins; sisters, Juanita Akins and Mary Collum; brothers, William Akins and R.L. Akins
