Obituary of Timmie Cox

Please share a memory of Timmie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
After a short bout with cancer, Revered Tim V Cox, age 79, of Henagar, AL passed away at home in the arms of his son in the early morning hours of July 25, 2020. Tim will long be remembered as a man of tremendous faith who was wholly committed to his faith in Jesus. He was pastor and minister of several Church of Gods and Congregational Holiness Churches in Georgia and Alabama. He was a source of knowledge and great spiritual strength to all who knew and loved him. His dedication to prayer and intercession has left a mark on the communities to which he belonged over the course of his life. What an amazing legacy he left behind, and it truly shows in his children. In addition to pastoring, Tim worked for more than 30 years at Greyhound Bus Lines until his retirement. Tim loved music from an early age and played the piano and organ at church. He deeply loved his family and friends and everyone that met him was truly blessed with a dear friend for life. He loved his animals as if they were his children. He had a very gentle and kind nature. His gentleness was one of his greatest strengths along with his genuine love and passion for our Lord, Jesus Christ. The Family will receive Friends from 5-8pm on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 from the W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from the Highpoint Church of God. Burial will follow in Beene Family Cemetery at Valley Head.
