Mrs. Vera Veda Owens age 86, of Section passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021. Funeral services are set for 11am Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from the Section Church of God with pastor Gary Nix and Bro. Dennis Potter officiating. Burial will be in Green’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 8 pm Monday, February 22, 2021 at the Section Church of God.
She is survived by her daughters: Patricia McAbee, Virginia (Eddie Ray) Pope, Charlotte Kay (Lonnie) Dukes, and Kathy Lynn; brothers: Joe Earl Potter, Larry Potter, and Verlon Potter; grandchildren: Denise McAbee, Angie McAbee, Jeremy Dempsey, Reggie Dempsey, Michelle Pablo, Randall Dukes, David Lynn, Sharron Johnson; 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: David J.W. Owens; grandson: Rodney Alan McAbee.
