Obituary of Ilene Wilbanks Ware

Ilene Wilbanks Ware of Albertville passed away peacefully on July 21, 2021 at her son’s home in Horton, AL. She was born and raised in Langston, AL. She was a strong willed individual. She had a big heart and was kind and generous to those in need. She had a great love for her flowers, her grandbabies and her pugs. She really enjoyed going to yard sales and thrift stores and really loved camping and fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Stella Wilbanks, husband Billy H. Ware Sr., Sisters, Earline Wilbanks Dobbs and Mattie Wilbanks Gilbert. Brothers Sonny Wilbanks, John Wilbanks, and Willis Wilbanks and a granddaughter Melanie Ware Sims. She is survived by her children Billy Harold (Virginia) Ware Jr., Gerald “Bud” (Rhonda) Ware, Robert (Kathleen) Ware, Terry (Gayla) Ware, Bobby Ware, Rose (Shawn) Pruitt and Doug (Chasity) Ware. She had 14 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren; brothers, Charles Wilbanks and Joe Wilbanks, The Funeral & Visitation will be held at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in Rainsville, AL on Sunday July 25, with visitation from 11:00 am-1:00pm, service at 1:00pm with Bro. Danny Lewis officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Harmony Baptist Church cemetery on Jackson county road 44 in Macedonia.
