Mr. David Arch Perry of Guntersville, Alabama passed away in his home on January 13, 2022. David is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sue Hall Perry. He and Sue were blessed to have a wonderful and full family. Their children include Pam Booth (Rick), Wendy Roberts (Doug), David Perry, Jr. (Valerie), Melanie Baker (Brian), Marty Hall (Rhonda), Suzanne McKee (Robert), and Amy Sava. They have 16 grandchildren: Drew (Megan) and Garret (Madison) Booth, Emma and Erica Roberts, Justin, Josh, and Brody Perry, Faith, Daisy, and Anna Lee Baker, Meagan Robertson (Kyle), and Jacob Hall (Mary Kyle), Gordon Lawless (Christie) and Porter Lawless, River and Ibo Sava. They have six great-grandchildren: Liam Booth, Adleigh and Madelyn Robertson, Houston, Mary Ellis, and Caroline Elizabeth Hall. They have a special niece with two great-nieces: Katie Stanfield Pounds and Emily and Abbie Stanfield. David is also survived by his sister Peggy Ann Perry Alston and his nieces and nephew Shannon Grass and Julie and Alex Alston. David is preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Davis and Ada Lou Sledge Perry, and his brother-in-law, John Davis Alston II, and his special Mama Maxine. David was born in Louisburg, North Carolina. He moved to Guntersville as a teenager and played basketball for Guntersville High School. He earned an Associate of Arts degree from Snead State Community College. He had a long career in the automobile industry, and his children will tell you he has taught countless people how to drive a car. David was an avid golfer and enjoyed his annual Dothan golfing trip for over 50 years with his closest friends. He was a loyal member of the Guntersville Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. David always had a favorite pet, and his last loves were his two dogs, Forrest and Jennie. He and Sue loved to travel, play and watch golf, and explore the countryside. David was always quick to stop and find treasures at flea markets and antique stores. There will be a memorial service for David at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at North Broad Street Church of Christ, 308 North Broad Street, Albertville, AL 35950. Arrangements entrusted to W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel, Rainsville, AL.
