He retired from Heil as a certified welder. He was preceded in death by his Parents (Henry and Myrtle Pendergrass Fricks), Brothers (Fernie Fricks and Rayford Fricks), Sisters (Shirley Hawkins and Ann Godwin), 2 Infant Sisters, Mother and Father-in-Law (Carl and Lillian Warren Puckett)
