Obituary of Virginia Dare Smith

Mrs. Virginia Dare Smith, age 94 of Fort Payne passed away on February 25, 2022. Funeral service will be held 2:00pm Monday, February 28,2022 from the Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Fort Payne. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the church.
Mrs. Smith is survived by daughters, Joyce Smith and Sandra (George) Kossakoski; son, Daryl Edwin (Eddie) Smith; grandchildren, Kerby Smith (Michael) Blackmon, Kelli Smith (Blake) Weaver, Kalen Lee Smith, Robert Andrew Smith; great grandchildren, Hudson Weaver, Barrett Weaver, Jack Weaver, and Payton Weaver.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert Smith; son, Robert Lee Smith; and sisters, Mahalah Stone and Vivian Reeves.
Arrangements entrusted to W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to Mount Carmel Baptist Church Fort Payne.
