Dimple Yvonne Moore Wooten - Born to Rev. Hodges and Amy Moore in 1934. Yvonne Moore Wooten received the Holy Ghost when she was 15 years old and lived her life for the Lord. Her delight was serving the Lord and teaching her children to fear and honor God. Yvonne did not sit much in church, she walked the isles singing and testifying of His goodness. She would sing “Jesus is Coming Soon and Just as the Sun Went Down”. Yvonne married Rev. James Buford Wooten October 17, 1949. She and her husband were married 60 years when Rev. Wooten passed away in 2009. Yvonne only loved one man, and she spent her life with him, raising their 9 children together. She could quote the Bible like no one else, many times quoting chapters word for word. She would often say “He’s coming back after a glorious church without spot or blemish or any such thing”. She loved her husband, children, grand children, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was honored and loved by them all. Her favorite last saying was “His Mercies are New Every Morning”!
