Mr. Buddy Larry Smith, age 73 of Boaz, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. He was a retired parking supervisor for Jacksonville State University. Funeral Services will be held at 3pm on Friday, October 21, 2022 at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Marshall Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12pm-3pm, prior to the service, on Friday, October 21, 2022 at the funeral home. Officiating is Bro. Billy Helton and Bro. Rob Shaffer.
Larry is survived by his children: Amanda S. (Patrick) Collins and Jonathon (Kristina) Smith; additionally, by his loving partner of 15 years, our “Angel Without Wings”, Kathy Thrash. Loving pawpaw to 3 grandchildren: Asher Smith, Lily Smith, and Aurora Nicole Collins; his brother: Jimmy H. (Jean) Smith; niece: Celeste Smith Mildits; nephews: Michael Winkles and Ronald Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Claude “Bud” Smith and Grace Smith; sisters: Mona Sue Smith and Betty Lou Smith
