Obituary of LaMaurice Hugh Weaver

Mr. LaMaurice Hugh “Maurice” Weaver age 82 of Henagar passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022. Funeral services are set for 2pm Monday, November 7, 2022 from the Henagar Baptist Church with Bro. Joey Jenkins and Dr. David Smith officiating. Burial will be in Henagar Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 until 2pm Monday at Henagar Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Martha Weaver; sons, Hugh Earl Weaver, Dan (Tammy) Weaver, and Matt (Monica) Weaver; grandchildren, Kaitlin (Ryan) Clark, Hannah (Jake) Biddle, Molly Grace Weaver, Angel Sue Richards, Thimaine (Chleste) Weaver, Hannahstaysia Weaver, and Mason Weaver; great-grandchildren, Riley Weaver, Hadlee Grace Biddle, and Ava Kate Clark; sister, Jenell Weaver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Gladys Weaver; daughter, Kelly Weaver Allen, Mr. Weaver was a mechanic for over 50 years and owner of Weaver Auto Parts. He loved to hunt and fish. He loved telling stories with his friends at Jack’s about the history of Henagar and what they used to do to entertain themselves as boys. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren, playing ball in the yard or loading them up in the truck and taking them to the creek to wade in the water. He not only seen after his grandchildren but also his nephews, and the local boys in the community, he would see that they had a good time. He will be greatly missed by many.
