Obituary of Martha Ellen Edmondson

Ms. Martha Ellen Edmondson age 94, of Dolomite passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Legacy Nursing Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Grove Oak. The family will receive friends from 12noon until 1pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Ms. Edmondson was born in Grove Oak, Al to Richard and Edna Myrick on Aug. 8, 1928. She attended high school at Geraldine High School and graduated in 1947. She worked in retail management and retired from Family Dollar. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Damon Levail (Kaye) Edmondson; brother, R.L. Myrick; grandchildren, Tim (Misty) Edmondson, Mark Edmondson, and Eric (Rachel) Edmondson; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Gracyn, Gunner, Calli, Cooper, and Whitney; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Edna Myrick, brother James (Rita) Myrick; sister, Louise White; and sister-in-law, Emma Myrick.
