Mrs. Lonnie Mae Word age, 85, of Dawson passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 16 at 12:00pm from the W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 15, 2023, from 5:00-8:00pm.
She is survived by daughters, Penny M. Pierce (Wayne) and Tammy W. Bearden (Tom); son, Benjy Word; grandchildren, Jorgi Martin (Joey), Tessa Word, Tia Word, Daniel Bearden (Kelly), Erin Smith (Jason); great grandchildren, Conner Martin, Tanner Martin, Ethan Bearden and Sawyer Bearden; god-children, Richee Rice and Mitchell Rice.
Mrs. Word was preceded in death by husband, O.L. “Rabbit” Word; parents, Lonnie and Fannie Rucks; grandson, Jud Wayne Moman; brothers, Tommy and Jimmy Rucks.
