Mrs. LaVerne Chesser age 86 of Fyffe passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2pm - Friday from Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Simmons and Rev. Brian Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Beulah Cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in charge. The family will receive friends from 5 till 8pm Thursday at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel and from 12 till 2pm Friday at Beulah Baptist Church. Survivors include; Daughter, Kimberly Chesser; Sons, Michael (Misty) Chesser, and Jeff (Tanya) Chesser; Sister, Lyna (Gary) Holcombe; Sisters in Law, Oggie Lacey and Barbara Lacey; Brother, Danny (Susan) Lacey; Grandchildren, Misty (Scott) Dorsey, Alison (Stephen) Berry, Jason Chesser, Amber Chesser; Great Grandchildren, Aubree Claire Dorsey and Axel Lee Berry Mrs. Chesser was a member of Beulah Baptist Chruch, was owner of Dekalb LP Gas in Fyffe with her husband for over 40 years, and a member of Tenbroeck Homemaker's Club. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Hurston William Chesser; Parents, Rufus and Florence Lacey; Sisters, Wanda Bell and Helen Lacey; Brothers, Maurice and Gerald Lacey; daughter-in-law: Teresa Chesser; brother-in-law, Randolph Bell. The family would like to extend their deepest, heartfelt gratitude to Laverne's caregivers for the last two years: Angela Strickland, Lisa Murdock, Taylor Ward, Wendy Adams Clarke, Angie Bailey, Jamie Ridgeway (deceased), Edussia Frasier, and also the staff of Enhabit Hospice.
