Dave, David,
I’m so sorry for your loss—so sorry. I really got to know Suz’n when we were roommates, the summer of 1985, at my house in Naples, FL. She was an intern with a veterinarian there. We had such good times and many adventures. But, in every situation, she was always a lady—a feisty Southern lady—and always a Christian lady. Her dog and my cat fought like, well, cats and dogs, but we got along like the Branson first cousins we were. I adored her, and so did all my friends and co-workers. Your visit here last November was, and is, my best memory of her, though: the Suz’n who had just returned from ministering to the homeless in Key West, the Suz’n concerned about the lost, just wanting to share Christ with the hurting and wounded, the Suz’n who loved her Lord. God bless you guys. Dave, I’m proud of you for your service to our country and now, your service as a minister for the Lord. David, I’m proud and in awe of your service to our nation in one of our most elite and dangerous units. To you both: we’ll all see her soon, and what good times they will be!
